Pendidikan Karakter Berbasis Digital Literacy untuk Membentuk Siswa yang Bertanggung Jawab

This study aims to describe the implementation of digital literacy-based character education in developing responsible students in the school environment. The rapid development of information technology demands the strengthening of students' character so they can use digital media wisely, ethically, and responsibly. Therefore, integrating character values into digital literacy-based learning is a strategic step in addressing the challenges of the digital era. This study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Subjects included principals, teachers, and students, selected purposively. Data collection techniques included observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using interactive analysis techniques, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was achieved through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results indicate that digital literacy-based character education is implemented through the integration of the value of responsibility into learning activities, fostering the habit of ethical digital media use, and teacher supervision and guidance in students' online activities. This implementation has resulted in increased student awareness of responsible technology use, discipline in completing digital-based assignments, and the ability to critically filter information. Thus, digital literacy-based character education is an effective strategy in developing responsible and adaptive students to technological developments.
